Dr. Robert J. Limardi

Dr. Robert J. Limardi is a highly experienced periodontist and public service professional with more than three decades in clinical practice. He has built a distinguished career specializing in periodontal surgery, reconstructive procedures, and dental implants. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Limardi has contributed extensively to education and mentorship, serving as an instructor in periodontics and oral medicine, and currently teaches at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. His clinical expertise is complemented by his role as a dental consultant for United Health Care, where he advises on care for both pediatric and adult Medicaid populations.

Beyond dentistry, Dr. Limardi has demonstrated a strong commitment to community service and public safety. He has served as a firefighter, EMT, fire instructor, inspector, and investigator in the state of Ohio since 2015, training future emergency responders and contributing to local fire departments and public safety programs. His multidisciplinary background also includes experience as a special education teacher, reflecting a deep dedication to education and community impact across multiple fields.

Dr. Limardi’s academic credentials include a Doctor of Dental Surgery from Stony Brook University, a Master of Science and Certificate in Periodontics from The Ohio State University, and advanced degrees in education and leadership. He has contributed to scientific research in periodontology, with published work focusing on inflammatory mechanisms in gum disease, and has presented at numerous dental conferences nationwide. In recognition of his expertise and leadership, he currently serves as a member of the Ohio State Dental Board, where he helps guide policy and standards for dental practice.
