Treatment Methods

Our practice provides a variety of treatment options for periodontal issues and for dental implant therapy.   We pride ourselves on providing sucessful and predictable in treatment outcomes.

Many times, the early stages of periodontal disease are best treated with non-surgical periodontal therapy. Even in severe cases, non-surgical periodontal therapy often precedes surgical therapy. This is done to improve the overall tissue quality and reduce bacterial contamination prior to surgery.  Surgery is meant to repair damage produced by periodontal disease.

Occasionally, it is necessary to extract hopeless teeth to manage the disease and possibly eventually place dental implant. The extractions will be completed for you, as well perform ridge augmentation or socket preservation procedures (restore the hole left after the extraction to help maintain the jaw bone for tooth replacement.  Immediate dental implants (placed at the time of extraction) are frequently done at our office decreasing the need for several surgical procedures, reducing healing time and perhaps also reducing the cost.  Sinus surgery is also provided to assist the placement of dental implants.  Drs. Masoud or Limardi will discuss treatment options with you when they apply to the given condition.
